  • File the following forms with the state of Oklahoma: 1099-R.
  • Filing due dates: File the state copy of form 1099 with the Oklahoma taxation agency by February 28, 2021 (January 31 in some cases).
  • Reporting threshold: If you file 250 or more 1099 forms with Oklahoma you must file electronically.
  • When filing federal copies of forms 1099 with the IRS from the state of Oklahoma the mailing address is: Department of the Treasury , Internal Revenue Service Center , Kansas City, MO 64999.
  • When filing state copies of forms 1099 with Oklahoma department of revenue, the agency contact information is: Withholding Tax Division, Oklahoma Tax Commission, 2501 Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73194 .
  • Compliance rules: All 1099 filers should report interest, rent, dividends, annuities, gambling winnings, or other fixed or determinable or periodical gains, profits or income payments with an amount of $750 or more in the calendar year. Form 501 (State of Oklahoma Annual Information Return Summary) together with the 1099 forms being reposted must be sent to the Tax Commission by end of February of the succeeding calendar year. 1099 Payer types include (but not limited) state agencies, counties, municipalities, cooperatives, churches, labor unions and school districts.

Important Reminder: None-employee compensation (the most important amount reported on information returns) is now part of form 1099-NEC and not 1099-MISC (Box 7). The IRS does not forward 1099-NEC forms to the state, you need to file directly with the Oklahoma DOR (this applies to both paper and e-Filers).
