  • File the following forms with the state of Oregon: 1099-MISC / 1099-NEC and 1099-R.
  • Filing due dates: File the state copy of form 1099 with the Oregon taxation agency by March 31, 2021.The deadline for filing W-2s and 1099s where miscellaneous income is reported (Box 7) is January 31.
  • Reporting threshold: If you file 1 or more 1099 forms with Oregon you must file electronically.
  • When filing federal copies of forms 1099 with the IRS from the state of Oregon the mailing address is: Department of the Treasury , Internal Revenue Service Center , Kansas City, MO 64999.
  • When filing state copies of forms 1099 with Oregon department of revenue, the agency contact information is: Department of Revenue, PO Box 14260, Salem, OR, 97309-5060 .
  • Compliance rules: 1099-MISC / 1099-NEC (Miscellaneous Income) and 1099-R (Retirement) forms are required to be filed electronically with the OR department of revenue using federal due dates. Through the iWire system, the department of revenue accepts text-based 1099 E-Files in the IRS Publication 1220 layout, with minor modifications to the state records. To upload 1099 e-file submissions simply go to the iWire website (https://secure.DOR (this applies to both paper and e-Filers).state.or.us/iWire/) and click on (Begin Using iWire).

Important Reminder: None-employee compensation (the most important amount reported on information returns) is now part of form 1099-NEC and not 1099-MISC (Box 7). The IRS does not forward 1099-NEC forms to the state, you need to file directly with the Oregon DOR (this applies to both paper and e-Filers).
